UV-based Advanced Oxidation Processes (UV-AOPs) utilize ultraviolet (UV) light to excite oxidants (such as H₂O₂, O₃, and persulfates) to generate highly reactive free radicals (such as ·OH, SO₄·⁻, and Cl·), thereby achieving efficient oxidation and mineralization of recalcitrant organic pollutants in water.
Anlis has specialized in UV-AOPs for nearly two decades and has accumulated extensive experience in different light source technologies and reaction systems with different oxidants.
The advantage of UV-AOPs lies in its ability to efficiently degrade pollutants, breaking stable bonds such as C–C, C–N, and C–Cl. It is suitable for the removal of pollutants such as POPs, EDCs, and PPCPs. Its rapid, non-selective reaction oxidizes virtually all organic pollutants, making it environmentally friendly. The final products are CO₂, H₂O, and inorganic ions, without any secondary pollution.
The ONYX UV oxidation system adopts a modular design, which is suitable for small-scale treatment sites (10-100m³/day) as well as large-scale water plants with daily processing capacity of thousands or tens of thousands of tons.
